Omar “Smartkid” Currie, Grammy Nominee, is the Managing Director of Smartkid Records Company Limited which was founded in 2007. The company specializes in producing and managing artistes by utilizing its multipurpose “state of the art” recording studio located in Greater Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica. The recording studio was established in 2010 and is now recognized as one of the best multipurpose recording studios located in Portmore. It is equipped to do audio editing and mixing, demo duplicates and vocal recordings.

SMARTKID started singing at a very early age but found that without adequate support it was not easy to make the transition into the music industry.
